Turning photoshop to a flash file??

Hey guys,

This maybe a simple question (for someone unlike me who knows what they are doing!) Right now I have my web designer creating my pages for my online magazine. The previous guy who did last months magazine who was unable to do this months, turned the photoshop jpeg files into swf files which allowed me to have hyperlinks within the magazine. I was wondering if anyone knows how I would go about doing this? You can find the magazine at Conquer Internet Marketing (sorry you have to sign up to access the mag)

I look forward to a response

Sorry, tried to sign up - didn't receive an email and got links to a bunch of Success in 2009 videos. Perhaps you could post the .swf or copy it temporarily to an obscure area and post a link here.

FWIW, there is not an option from within Photoshop to do this. You can create animations fairly easily (Window->Animation the add frames to the bottom timeline, copy the image to each frame and edit the position and the time exposure then export as .gif), but you would need to use Adobe Flash or other Flash, Flex 3 or editing software to create and compile SWF.

I didn't sign up for your magazine but from experience my first guess would be that your previous designer exported all his work into Flash and had to piece it all together. This wouldn't be as easy as pushing a button and having your entire work in photoshop converted into an SWF file. You would likely need to learn the basics of Adobe Flash or better yet, hire somebody to do the job for you in order to achieve better results.

      Good luck.

You can import .PSD files to Adobe Flash, keeping the layers too!

    This is easy...

But Im still unsure of what you're actually trying to achieve.

You can take any image, import into Flash and Hyperlink within Flash (the swf) itself.

Or, do you want the swf file (already containing your image) hyperlinked
    in the html?

    There's 2 possibilities here.

Open the swf url internally or external to the swf.

    p.s.

I wont be signing up n jumping through hoops to post a simple answer,
if you want help, you got be a little more helpful yourself.
