I would like to write a php function to generate amazon associate html code to specific product based on keyword.
Anybody did it before or can point me to the right source?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Um... I think you need to learn Amazon's API or something. It's
got an insane amount of security features in it. I can understand
why you'd want to create your own product to sell, but if you
just want something to use... I'm using this thing to pull
keyphrase-sorted feeds from Amazon, and Clickbank.
    Works good with Wordpress too.

Everything uses an ASIN, so it's as easy as matching a keyword to an ASIN on page, and then merging that with your ID link. I'm not a programmer, but I see this as being somewhat simple compared to other projects out there.

Amazona have a widget called "Omakase". I use it to fit products to page automatically - just login to amazon and grab the ready javascript code.

That's cool, "Omakase" means "Leave it to us" in Japanese. I guess it's a contextually determined ad like Adsense.

    The Omakase widget is horrible.
It almost never shows something related to the page.
It almost always shows something related to the user visiting the page instead.

For me it is working fine. But it needs a few visits to load page content - after an hour it shows ads related to page.

That is correct, you will want to use the Amazon API to do this

There is an affiliate program but I am not sure if they let you buy with your own link
