How Hard Would This Wordpress Plugin Be To Make?
I use a Tackback Feed plugin that takes all the trackbacks (or pingbacks) to my site and stuffs them into an RSS feed.
Unfortunately, when a site links to my pages or posts, this works fine but when a site links to my blog homepage, no trackback is recorded and no entry is made into the Trackback RSS feed.
As I run my site on Wordpress MU this is doubly difficult because any links I build to the home page of any of my sub blogs also don't register a trackback.
I need a plugin that tells wordpress "Hey, if you get notice that someone linked to your homepage, make sure you treat that inbound trackback (or pingback or whatever it is) just like any other."
How hard would it be to make something like this? I'm thinking about paying to have it done but I don't know how long such a project might take.
