Cant modify theme??

Hey warriors,

So I downloaded a wordpress theme designed to be used with google adwords.

I can get the base theme to show up on the web ok, but when I click on the tab under settings titled "landing page options" to modify the page I'm taken to a screen that says "you do not have sufficient permissions to access this page"

Why is this?

Is the theme I'm using somehow security enabled to not be modified? Is there a way around this issue?

I'm not too good with tech stuff so this is really frustrating!

    Hi Andrew

    I'm assuming that you have logged in with an administrators account to your WordPress dashboard? You need administrator privileges to modify your theme.

    Otherwise you might want to check the file permissions on your WordPress themes directory, perhaps you don't have rights to write files in it. You could temporary set them to 777 to see if it resolves your problem.

    If this is a purchased theme you could also put a support request in with whoever you bought it from. Some free themes also have a FAQ or forum associated with them, another source of information if you get stuck.
