What kind of coding do you want to learn?

W3Schools has excellent online learning for free.

There are some good Udemy courses as well. Look for coupons to get discounts/freebies.

Depending on what you want to learn, you can learn a lot by taking existing code and hacking around with it. For example, take a Wordpess theme and hack around in the PHP/CSS/HTML code.

What do you mean by coding?
If you want to learn WordPress, read WordPess codex. If you don't know anything about the world of programming, start with learning HTML.
If you need coding for online marketing, you can go without special knowledge.
A lot of programming work can be outsourced.

Read any book, or any course/bootcamp first, make some tiny - one day - projects. Then try setting a goal i.e. create a website, business application or a game, something that's close to your environment or interests. Then try to reach it. This will give you a context. You will encounter a lot of issues which you will have to solve. Then just continue by setting new goals. At some point after few goals reached try to get back to a book. Then repeat. What's your long term goal ? Finding a job or creating a project from your idea ? If you want to freelance - I suggest first spend a year or two or even more with a team - always try to work with better people so you can chase not sleep. You can go freelance when you're good enough, the other way won't work imo . If you wan't to find a job - just show that you care and even work few months for free - you will gain experience at least . If you're planning to create your own idea - describe what you want to make and somebody will help you choosing right technology to start from.

You could also try Code Academy https://www.codecademy.com/
It's free and interactive, I think it's a very nice way to learn, especially if you're a beginner.

    Hi,

You can find many free websites and tools where you can learn programming or coding but In my point of view without any assistance your learning process will be slow so you have to join any online portal which serve you better coding knowledge with placement assistance. Janbask is the premier online portal which provide you Online training for Java, Online SQL Training and many more.

Code.org is another great site that you can use to learn how to code. The are geared more towards kids but I am sure a beginner adult could benefit from the site as well.
