Hey Coders ... Do you feel there is a need for ...

.. a simple php licensing script?

I realize there are some really good licensing scripts ... PHPAudit and PHPLicensEngine are two very popular licening scripts. IMHO PHPAudit is pricey and could be out of reach for many. But my bigger problem with either/both is they have more features than some may need.

Let me be clear ... I think both are great products. They do what they say and they do it well. BUT, if you're just looking for a simple licensing platform the only thing available was PHPLicenseScript which appears to have gone belly up. No one is responding to the forum or helpdesk and it's been that way for months.

So, what I'm asking is would there be an interest in a straight forward licensing script. No shopping cart capabilities ... no emaillist capabilities ... no affiliate program just down and dirty no frills license management. Sure ... I think an PP IPN would need to be part of it to automate the sales to license issuing but nothing more.

I searched long and hard but of those I found, I couldn't get a response from the script owner so I thought I'd make one myself. Now I would like to know if there is an interest in this sort of system.
