Need a developer co-founder, good at PHP, Java

Hi Everybody,

I have this really cool idea which will help a lot of people around the world. I have the raw concept ready, have the domain and hosting space. This is my second project, I already run a web security company. I want someone really good at PHP/ Java/ XML who can build this website from scratch. This candidate will be one of the co-founders of this company. I want someone who can dedicate atleast 3-4 hours a day on this project.

Please do not reply if you are a freelance programmer and looking for a job for money. This is not a paid job, it is a commitment and a top position, I am just looking into options. I don't guarantee any assurance of involving you if you send me a message or reply to this, unless you are really good

So please make sure what you are getting into and reply. If you have somebody, your friend or anyone who can be helpful here, you are more than welcome to let me know and I'll be glad to talk to them.

    so where are your financial documents???

    What level of capital do you have available for this project and what are your prior successes you mention???

    why are you not using one of your existing developers if you have already had success in this area??

      I did not mention that I already had success in my other venture, I just said I run another company. I have that company in good standing with some developers (it's an early stage stealth company). And for this project, like I said, I need someone really good at programming with some good experience. This project is still very raw, otherwise I wouldn't be looking for a co-founder (ahem!!). The two projects are totally different and I want to keep them as separate entities, that's why I am not using existing developers. As far as financial documents for this project, there's no investment source yet. The idea is very raw, I have some of my friends who I have asked to work on this project too, they might come on board as co-founders as well. So this is a totally new project with new people and no money .. I hope you understand how a normal company starts in Silicon Valley.

    Well, most people would rather get a one-off payment to work on a project than to share in the profit. If you think you have a marvellous idea for a project, just hire someone and pay them to work on it.

    For me, it would be a bad idea to rely on some one's idea and hope it takes of big time for me to get any reward.

    My advice is to look for someone in your area. It is always better to work with someone near. Things are sorted out easier that way.

    I like these kinds of projects because the when it finishes there is the chance that your going to continue to get paid.

    The problem I have had in the past though is knowing the quality of the person who is proposing the project.

    The way these types of proposals go, the programmer has to COMPLETELY finish before finding out that the other half of the team cant do what is expected of them.... The promotion.

    So the only one who looses is the programmer.

    To find a good one, you are going to need to put forward a really convincing presentation about yourself and your abilities to be able to get the project into a profitable state.

    Otherwise you have what i have, a lot of good pieces of software in need of quality promotion. Its the promoters/marketers that make the business. (If the programmer/designer has done a good job, that only makes the marketers job easier.)
