Is there a good way to test out Geo Targeting

Hello

I am trying to learn geo targeting for various javascript based ad networks on my website I am building.

I would like to know please is there a good way to test if the geo targeting is working. I have tried various proxy sites and firefox proxy plugins and I have had no luck with either.

Any advise would be helpfull

    what about an actual proxy program? i recall that when using "your freedom" or something along those lines, i had a german based IP.

    or find someone located in a different country that can test for you. usually any LARGE forum will have multiple nations represented.

    I'm trying to get into this now and have noticed that its becoming more and more popular particularly in my affiliate niche, with new wordpress plugins and php scripts. Surely someone has some new advise on the easiest way to check to see if you've set up the geo targeting correctly by now

      The problem with proxies is most of the *active* ones do not work.
      Maybe you can subscribe to a proxy service.

      Additionally, you could use a service similar to usertesting.com and request people from certain countries to do the testing for you.

    You could use a simple php script that opens your page from another server located in another state/country... but that only helps if the js is php generated.
    If you're able to see in the js code where a function might pass the user IP then you could test it by passing IP's from known locations.
    Or as was suggested above, best to just ask a friend to check it out for you
