Could I get a quote on a wordpress plugin I'd like developed

Hello everyone. I use wordpress. What do I hate about wordpress? I ahte that I have to set the times and dates and think about it to put the latest post on top.
I would like a wordpress plugin that I can simply put in the #1,2,3,4,5, on posts and it will put them in that order. Same with pages. Does this plugin exist already actually?

If it doesn't please tell me how much this would cost on average if you could please.

If it does exist could I have a link please?

    I'm thinking that this plugin may work for what you want:
    WordPress List Posts with Custom Field Plugin | Christian Schenk

    You'd want to have a meta field for your order and then use the cfvalue:field for your sort.

    I haven't tried it.. just did a quick search and that's what i came up with. Worth a shot anyway?
