changing /htdocs permisssions
Hi! I am running WordPress on a localhost Mac (PPC) OS X 10.5.8. I just installed XAMPP v.1.7.3 and the latest WordPress.
When I tried to upload my theme in WordPress, I got an error: "Unable to create directory /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server?"
There appears to be several directories under XAMPP that have restricted permissions (judging by the small arrow on their folder icons - the rest of the folders on my MAC do not have the arrows).
Please help! I am completely new to XAMPP environment so a very detailed instruction would be very much appreciated (MAC specific, please).
