Flat File CMS - Does it sounds interesting?

Hi guys,

friend of mine has developed Flat File CMS, SQL not needed. It have nice interface and all necessary features to build small - avarage website or blog. The main advantage is a speed. This CMS works faster in 10-20 times and you won't face such problem as "CPU high load", "CPU overload alert" etc.

Does it sound interesting?

Thanks

    Yes it sounds interesting

Currently I am using webgen (google it) - powerful little tool

I would love to see more "simple" solutions fo web publishing. Fed up with all the blogging platforms that are changed to "sites".

I can definitely see how it could be faster if you only have a few pages but once you have a decent amount of pages having an indexable database will help.

Not really, advanced caching systems already do this by updating the .htacess file pointing to a cached version in html of your CMS or Blog page.

Not to mention this won't work with dynamic content.

I'm no expert, but can you not have frequently accessed content cached so no DB query is needed?

Yes, you can. WordPress' caching plugins do just that.
