Are you using the latest version of mozilla firefox?

Are you using the latest version of the extension?

Have you tried downloading the extension again and installing that version?

Try creating a new Firefox profile (start>run>cmd)
    Code:
    firefox.exe -profilemanager
Start the new profile (don't delete your old one!) and try installing the extension now.

      your problem is 2 fold...

1- if you have found an older version, when the program was
available for free? then it just may not be compatible with
the last few updates of FF

2- Facebook has issued a "cease & desist" to the developer as
the FB TOS for their ad system explicitly forbids the use of any
      software to run/setup/manage FB ads

      Code:
      http://www.mrgreen.am/facebook-ads/mr-green-aint-happy-facebook-shutdown-fb-ad-manager/
from this page-> Advertising Guidelines | Facebook

1b-Advertisers cannot programmatically automate the creation of accounts or ads unless given permission by Facebook to do so.
so I would suggest that you forget about using the plugin. do NOT
even for a moment think that FB can not query your browser and
know that it is FF, and then run an app to watch for automation.

best to maybe read the ad rules above and just learn to live with
what FB expects ... it IS their website after all
