Hi, I want to build a blog with wordpress, but i don't know php. How can I learn php fast, and how long(I just know asp well!)?Thanks.

    Yup, basically if all you want to do is set up a blog, you can always try out wordpress.com and sign up for one. To be able to do more things like adding opt-in forms and install your own themes and plug-ins, you'll need to know a few basic things like getting a domain name and signing up for a web host, then install wordpress yourself.

    Go to: wordpress.org , If you want to download wordpress to use it on your server or to upload it to web-host server which hosting your site.
    Follow instruction there, there is no need to learn PHP to deal with wordpress tool. but it would be better to know a little PHP.

    Knowing php isn't a requirement if you just want to create a wordpress blog on your own hosting. It is, if you want to customize and make changes in your theme yourself, but most people use the themes as is, and that is perfectly fine.

    Also, I noticed people telling to get a free blog hosted with wordpress.com, also perfectly fine, just keep in mind you can't monetize it, at all. So if you want to make money with your blog, it's not a good solution.
