Open Inviter Script & Email Deliverability

Hi Everyone,

First off, thank you truly and greatly for taking your time.
I mean that

I wasn't sure if I should post this here or under "internet marketing".

We'll take a shot here

We are using Open Inviter.

For those of you who don't know Open Inviter allows people visiting your site to remotely login to their email or social network and invite their entire address book to visit your website.

There are two problems I have (actually open inviter has lots of problems, but i will just focus on two).

- - - - - - - - - PROBLEM #1 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The "From Address"

Currently the referrer invites their address book.
Invites go out with the "referrer's email" as the "from address"

However, what happens is if that referrer invites say 200 contacts,
which is not uncommon, and say 20 of those emails bounce or
have out of office replies, the referrer gets pounded with bounced
back emails and very upset, regretting they ever referred anyone to you!

However, if the "from address" used is say bob at mydomain.com
for the volume of email we are sending the ip's block us way to quick.
(We generated 20,000+ emails in 24 hours. We were happy! But
google, yahoo, aolmail, etc were not And blocked us eventually).

- - - - - - - - - - PROBLEM #2 - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

When remotely logging in, Google for instance, eventually catches
on that you are remotely logging in - especially if you have 50
people hit your inviter in a few hours. Google then blocks your
IP from doing remote logins.

What's the fix?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Can't wait to hear what you come up with!

Damian

PS - The thing that really drives me up a wall, is we are
NOT doing anything new!

Facebook, linkedin and all those guys have been doing
this forever. Now I know those guys have big, deep pockets,
but there still has to be a way to do this right.
