Excel Help Needed - I Am Sure You Programmers Know This :-)

I figured this was the most pertinent thread to ask the question as I guess this may be a programming type issue in Microsoft Excel? I apologize if this is not the correct place to post this question.

I have searched around online and cannot figure out how to copy a specific number of cells from Excel. Basically let's say there are 1 million cells. I only want to copy 250,000 at a time to load them into another Excel Spreadsheet.

Any ideas how one can do this?

Thanks a ton!

    Since there's only 4 sets of 250,000 in 1,000,000 I'll tell you how to do this manually.
    I'll make the assumption you're having trouble selecting he specific number of cells.

    Try this:
    1) Select cell A1 (or your first cell)
    2) Scroll down to cell A250,000 (or your last cell)
    3) Hold down the SHIFT key and click cell A250,000 (make sure you're holding down SHIFT when clicking)
    4) Cells A1 - A250,000 should all be selected
    5) Edit -> Copy
    6) Open other xlsx file
    7) Edit -> Paste

    Hope this can handle your problem
