Question regarding Firefox/Explorer

Hi,
I am currently using Firefox and although I do enjoy it (less viruses than before ect.) I am running into an issue where I need to use windows explorer. I have a project coming up which is not supported by Firefox only windows explorer.

Do I need to uninstall Firefox to access explorer..and will I need to also reinstall explorer? or can they work together somehow?

If I need to uninstall Firefox to get my explorer browser back...how would I do that?

Thanks for the help,
Angela Chavez

You can have both FireFox and Internet Explorer on the same system and, in fact, open simultaneously. You can only choose one web browser as your default browser so it will automatically open when you click on a link, though.

I have a test system with IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Netscape on it so I can test web sites in different browsers.

First of all, IE doesn't get accidentally deleted from Windows. So, its still there.
You don't have to uninstall Firefox to access Internet Explorer. To have IE open the webpages when you click on it, do this:
Set Internet Explorer as the default browser in Windows XP SP1 and above

    Hope this helped,
    Sumit.

You should find out why Firefox is not supported. Most of the time when I am told this, I go ahead and use both Internet Explorer and Firefox to see what works, what looks different, and see for myself if there really is a problem. I have found that Firefox works very well in comparison to IE, and I can figure out a workaround method to make something work properly, even though I was told to stay away from Firefox.
