My domain has been hyjacked

I signed up for a website building promotion with My Creative Site Designs on March 7th, where I just supplied the domain name and paid for 2 years hosting to Brain Host and they would populate the site, then give the cpanel login. They have not sent the cpanel or Wordpress admin login information (checked spam folder). I have submitted 4 tickets, and an email to Brain Host but I have had no reply. I found a phone # in their ToS but all options just goes to voice mail. I also sent a ticket to My Creative Site Designs but no reply. They have sent some training videos on how to change the site, but no login info. I checked my domain and it up and running with nonsense gibberish articles and a very disturbing video, and it has Adsense on it, which if there is traffic, someone else is profiting from it. I was going to sign up for Adsense once the site was up. I wasn't expecting much but I thought I could get in and change it up. Does anyone have any solutions, suggestions, help? I was going to complain to Google but after reading some posts I may lose again.

Since you supplied the domain name, you should be able to determine where the nameserver points. Therefore, I would contact the registrar where you originally reserved the domain, and ask that the domain be pointed back to them.

To get your money back from Brain Host for the two year hosting plan, you just need to file a charge dispute with your credit card company, if you paid via credit card, or a customer dispute if you paid via PayPal or some other means.

Sorry that you are having these problems. Hopefully this helps you out.

Thanks Brian. Brain Host registered the domain so the name servers probably point to them. As I can't get to them, I can't change them. If they keep the site up, my name is still attached to the domain and they are not in comliance with the FTC. There is no Privacy, Terms or Service or Contact us page. Am I liable? I will contact my credit card holder and get a refund. Hoped there was a way to get my domain back. Won't do that again.

Hi Esslee, I work for Brain Host Customer Support. I'm sorry to hear you've been having these problems with us. As for getting in contact with us, our customer support number is 1-877-586-4694. For faster service, though, I would recommend emailing us at priority [at] brainhost.com. I have made our customer service manager aware of this thread and she will be looking out for your email.

Always do your due diligence, a quick Google search and voila:

    From complaintsboard.com
"These guys are total scammers, they claim to host your site and in order to do that you give them your credit card number. I did this and it was supposed to be less than $4.95/mo. Well once they have your information - LOOK OUT - they will rack up charges on it. Tried their customer service and can't get anywhere. STAY AWAY from them. I am filing a complaint with the state and trying to get the charges reversed on my card - WHICH THEY MAXED OUT."

Hi all - me again! This complaint was filed by someone who was confused about our billing policy. Yes we offer a $4.95/month plan, but it is for people who sign up for a 4-year package. You are billed the entire price of the package every four years, not the monthly price once per month. This is stated on our order page. The price does work out to be $4.95 per month, this particular person just did not read their order confirmation before they purchased .

Your front page, in a gigantic graphic, says $4.95 per month. Doesn't say you have to pay 4 years in advance to get that price, until you get to the credit card info screen.

That's deceptive advertising at its best (worst?).

I'm sorry if that seems deceptive to you. All of our pricing information is available on the order page before you actually submit your order. Every customer has the opportunity to review their order before they place it, and we do not charge anyone's credit card until they confirm and place their order. If you don't want or need a 4-year plan, you can choose from any number of other packages. We do get an occasional customer who was confused about which package they ordered, but they've simply called our support department and we've worked with them to determine which plan is best for them and switched them to the appropriate package.

Re: Problem with my hosting -Please help
Hi Esslee - I was able to look up your URL and find your information in our system. We did send you your contact information when your site was completed, and we also received and replied to all of your customer service tickets. I can supply you with dates and copies of all of these responses if you would like. They may have been caught by your spam filter, which could explain why you haven't seen them. I have our CS Manager standing by, so please let me know if you would like me to have her contact you directly.
