A question about Spintax

I don't know if this is the best forum for this, but since it's about programming I figured maybe I can get some help here. If this thread belongs somewhere else please let me know so I can tell a moderator to move it.
Anyways, my question is: Is there a way in Spin syntax to make the curly brackets and/or the pipe sign appear in the text without it getting spinned, kinda like when using javascript and using the // (double forward slash) to prevent something from appearing in the text.

It's not possible. In spintax, the curly brace IS a reserved character.

A common work around is to use some other character combo like +< >+ or something similar and do a simple search and replace after the content is spun.
