Abuse of free trial option

Does anyone knows how can we prevent free trial abuse ?

Preventing users using couple of emails to continue using the service.

Any standard industry practice ?

      Depending on the situation, using a combination of cookies and IP tracking can work well.

      IP's can of course by dynamic though so you can't rely on them 100%. Cookies can also be deleted but the average customer won't be savvy enough to delete them.

      Using a combination of the two can be pretty effective.
