Is the "All in one Seo Plugin for WordPress" worth installing?

Is the "All in one Seo Plugin", for WordPress worth installing or is there a better, more efficient way of optimizing my WordPress blog for the search engines? I am thinking of installing it but someone told me I will still have to do a lot of stuff manually, if I want to optimize the blog properly. Do you guys have any ideas on this?

Thanks briancol, that's interesting. I think I will install it because of the time saving factor to. I will still need to make my seo package more comprehensive. I find this site(Yoast) gives the best instructions I have seen on optimizing WordPress and he does not even mention, "All in one Seo plugin" :

It's not that it's worth it or not. Just you have to be a SEO guru yourself to make it worth for you.

It's just a tool that might increase your chance in the ranking war a little bit, what matters is yourself.

I agree, Platinum SEO is better, use it.
To do the other stuff manually you have to be alittle more experienced.
Yoast is talking about some of the manual and easy stuff to do, you should follow him too, but install All in one SEO or Plantinum SEO it will fasten things up a lil bit

YangYang and shadi. Thanks for your replies. You're are right I need to know good seo, which I am trying to learn and can't rely on automation. But I will install Platinum as well as tweak stuff advised by Yoast and build from there.

I prefer to use Platinum now for my blog.
Both do their job just fine.

You have to configure it manually though.
Their presetting is very good for start up.

I haven't used platinum SEO, but all in seo pack is definitely good. Helps you make unique titles, descriptions and meta keywords and is pretty good in getting rid of duplicate content.
