Having problem with WF WYSIWYG Editor

Hello Members:

HELP!

As of this last week, the WYSIWYG Editor is DISABLED for me. None of the buttons in the interface work. When I preview post, all content shows up as HTML code.

Under Editor Options, my setting is: Enhanced Interface: Full WYSIWYG Editing.

I have notified WF Support twice (2x), without response.

Would appreciate any help to resolve this issue.

Thanks much in advance,

Alan

I don't understand your question. Your post here looks fine. What are you trying to do?

      Hi Ken:

Thank you for being so quick on the draw!!!

I'm in the editor writing to you now.

      I click on BOLD (B) - it doesn't work.
I click on COLOR - it doesn't work.
NONE of the interface buttons work.

This is what happens if I don't insert to create each line or paragraph:

--------------- I click on BOLD (B) - it doesn't work. I click on COLOR - it doesn't work. NONE of the interface buttons work.-------------

When I am in the editor, the WYSIWYG Editor is DISFUNCTIONAL. Nothing works. The editor shows all HTML type code.

I hope this helps paint the picture better.

Thanks much in advance for helping me get the WYSIWYG Editor functioning properly again!

      Alan

OK.. I've been here almost six years and didn't know there was a WYSIWIG editor option until now.

Looks like you have to use your mouse to select the text before you click on the button to bold, or whatever.

Or you can revert to simple text editor and just use the BBCode link at the lower left corner of the page. It's simple to just code by hand.

Hi Ken: Much appreciate... however I need the WYSIWYG Editor fully functional again! The point is... the WYSIWYG interface is not working. I hope someone might know how to get it reactivated! Thanks much again! Alan

BTW: All paragraph formatting was removed by the editor upon saving without the WYSIWYG interface working.

    What browser are you using?

... the WYSIWYG editor only works for me when I'm using Firefox.

Any other browser causes all kinds of problems.

      Hi TiffLee:

      I am using Firefox 5.0 (Win7 - 64bit)

The editor was working for me until last week.

      Thanks much!

      Alan

BTW - I grew up in the Big Apple (Manhattan - E. 83rd St.) - just returned 6-mo. ago for my 40th HS reunion.

        Howdy

It appears that WF's WYSIWYG Editor is not functional with Firefox 5.0.

It's WYSIWYG Editor is functional working with Google Chrome 11.0.696.57.

Anybody have any workaround ideas for Firefox?

        Thanks much in advance,

        Alan

          SOLUTION FOUND:

It turns out that the Firefox No Script extension was the culprit.
WF's WYSIWYG Editor functionality has been returned!

Thank you all for taking the time to reply!
