Selling from a wordpress site

Okay, very much the newbie here. I love writing so I plan to set up a plr site so I am a little confused about the best way to set up a payment system.
Is the free wpecommerce how people start or am I better off with a paid application and if so what would be recommended. I have heard that Download Guard is good. I need something really, really easy Thank you Mel

    It depends on how many products you want to sell. If you have just one or two you could simply add PayPal buttons below the sales pitch - that would be the simplest and quickest solution.

    Alternatively, you could install a shopping cart. This takes a bit more time but it offers a more professional face to your visitors.

    Also consider listing the products on ClickBank or DigiResults (and others...)

    You will have a one click solution for people to buy, AND you will be all setup to sell through affiliates.

    Also, affiliates looking for products can find you and your products by searching the (well known / high traffic) site you sell through (e.g. ClickBanl, DigiResults, ...)
