I was viewing a recorded training webinar presentation, on someone else's site, using the JW Player 5.0.753. The only control is the arrow in the middle of the screen. I started the presentation and had to click the arrow to pause. Clicked the arrow to restart, arrow disappeared but, the video never started. Now, with no controls I had to restart the video from the beginning. This has happened more than once. I am using a macbook pro. Any solutions?

Thank you.

    It's not in your control.

Once again, this has NOTHING to do with your MacBook Pro. The controls presented by JW Player and the players internal settings are determined by the designer of the website you are viewing.

If they chose not to display any other option except the Play control then that's all you get - no matter what type of computer you display the content on. There is nothing that you can do to change this (other than contacting the owner of the website and ask them to redesign their player).

No different than watching a video on YouTube - you have no control over the way the page looks or how the player operates. Or, for that matter, the Warrior Forum - if you don't like red and want to see the forum in blue there is nothing you can do about it.

P.S. While I do appreciate that you followed my advice and re-posted this on the Programming Forum please understand that the reason I said that was I'd assumed you were talking about JW Player on a site that you owned and controlled yourself. You have no control over someone elses site.

JW Player 5.7 release contributes us another step closer in establishing the JW Player as the leader in cross-platform video playback. While JW5.7 admits numerous bug determines & enhancements.
