WP Quotes Plug In

Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial or book that can show me how to build a WordPress Quotes Plugin. I Googled around and came close but not exactly what I am looking for.

I want to be able to offer the plug-in as a bonus for a book I am going to be selling. The plug-in would feature quotes from the book.

I am more familiar with Drupal but believe I could figure out the coding for a Wordpress Plugin if I can find the right source.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

    A quotes plugin is really simple to write.
    It would take tops 30 min to write if you want widget support etc. If you are not concerned with GPL licensing the default Hello Dolly plugin that comes with WordPress can be rewritten to do what you want. It will take less than 5 minutes then.
