    Hello jimjoseph,

I don't know what you mean by creating a website for beginners but for content managemant systems I can recommend joomla, drupal and wordpress.

For a windows program to create custom websites I can recommend Artisteer, it's really easy to use.

    Cheers

Something sounds familiar here... better get a mod in to close this for good.

@OP: If you're new, firebug will help you about as much as a chemical formula will help a houswife cook. Wordpress is a good place to start.

      Cheers,

If you just wanna built html site, you can use dreamweaver or kompozer (free WYSIWYG HTML and CSS editor).

but if you want to build dynamic website, you can use CMS, it is framework that make you easily build a website and manage its content.

If you want to combine numerous factors needed for web marketing success I'd go with WordPress for several reasons.

    - it's free, and templates are available for very low prices
    - lots of excellent application plugins that are also free lowers development cost
    - Google loves WordPress sites as they're XHTML compliant code
    - they look professional and are easy to maintain and add content
    - from a marketing standpoint they have alot of features available in plugins such as site map creation, contact forms etc.

Drupal and Joomla sites are also great for ease of development (I'm not an expert in them) but they're not as good from a marketing standpoint in my opinion.
