    Hey there,

in cPanel, start the Backup wizard.

    Step 1, chose "backup"
Step 2, chose "full backup" recommended
Step 3 => at the "Backup destination", instead of selecting "home" (which would be the page the server is on), select one of the FTP options and use a FTP that is on an external (e.g. rackspace) server.

    Cheers,
    Rob

    Layouts4you,

It looks like you cannot directly use FTP with rackspace cloud files. So you would need to use some kind of FTP -> rackspace cloud files proxy, or download your cPanel backup to your local machine and then upload it to rackspace cloud files as usual.

Please let us know if you need further assistance with this.

If you are not yet tied to Rackspace, consider Amazon S3. Same concept, but it allows FTP, which would allow the above manual solution. If you want an automated solution for regularity (scheduled) and dependability (automatic vs. human / manual), try a service like what http://BackupDepositBox.com 888.737.8922 offers.
