Upload script to server? Newb Question

Here are the steps:

Think of a domain name as the name of a shop, and the hosting space as the shop itself, with all the space available on it. Right now, you have a package at the front of the shop, and you want to put on the shelves the merchandise from it.

1. You point your domain name to a hosting space.
That is, you rent a space for where you shop will be and let people know that your shop is at a certain location. The hosting will provide you with the shelves.

2. You unpack the script
In this step, you take the merchandise out of the box, by unwrapping it. I recommend using this free unpacking software:

3. You upload the unpacked script to the server
In this step, you take the unwrapped merchandise, and put it on the shelves. That is, you transfer the files from your computer to the remote computer, where the hosting is.
There are a lot of free programs to do this, but personally I prefer Total Commander, because it makes that transfer incredibly simple and intuitive. Even the trial version works fine.

4. You configure the script, according to the manual that comes with it.
It's like assembling a toy, before putting it on the shelves.

you can upload urscript to servers by using FTP Clients and the best FTP client is FileZIlla, you can use it too. It supports all kinds of files and it is efficient.

Do you currently own a webspace or just the domain name?

1. You should get a webhost first if you have not done so.
2. Most webhosts will have support to teach you how to use ftp or even install your script for you. Upload your script through them. If they do not provide you the "how to"; (Assuming you using a windows os) Open up windows explorer and type your ftp://domainname.com in the directory location field. You will then be prompted for your user and pw which you will enter and copy your script to the proper place necessary for the script to run. The place is different depending on the type of script therefore, read the instructions provided in your script and copy & paste the script as told.

That's all for manually adding the script. There is probably more if the script is more complicated and has to be integrated with other platforms or tools. I've never used kunaki nor GuruBot pro.
