Need help on backing up hosting account

Any steps to use how to backup a hostgator account - partial and full..

    Our intention is to use a tool like RSync to make a secondary copy of our hosting account in case their is ever a problem with Hostgator that takes our sites down or alters/erases important files.

    Most cPanel have a built in backup system where you can set up a cron job and then send it to an FTP account.

    Or if you use Wordpress you could check out BackupBuddy.

    Hello,

    Any time you run a backup from cPanel it's going to process that for you at that time. The backups we keep weekly are not kept server-side and as such not involved with either partial or full cpanel backups.

    Though to clarify the weekly backups we do keep are considered a full backup given compliance with our backup policy.
