&nbsp What does this mean and how do I get rid of it?

Hi folks

I have just loaded up a 'simple' forum into my website I Married A Fat Bitch url in my sig and it is showing   in a number of places. How do I get rid of it?

      on a side note it just represents and empty area or a space...I think it's primary function was really when some older browsers has trouble showing empty cells in a table if I remember correctly. Basically it is just a space but has nothing to do with programming hehe. More HTML.

          Many characters have encoded forms, especially those outside the ASCII range; they start with an ampersand and end with a semicolon.

            is the HTML encoded form for "non breaking space"... a space that isn't a line break

          Since the HTML specification tells browsers to treat any repeated whitespace in the markup as a single space when rendered (so when you hit enter and tab twice to indent some code and make it easy to read, it doesn't show up as white space on your page), using   can let you repeat spaces if you need to.

              Just a quick comment.

              This is something Dreamweaver automatically puts in the code for an emtpy space/line. Took me some time to work it out as it was confusing both me and my design.
