bought a WP Theme that does not support SEO Plugins

I spent ages setting up really great looking theme that does not support SEO plugins (all in one, Yoast, platinum). The Author admits to this. He has sold 350 copied but did not put it in his documentation.

Anyway - I've managed to get my meta titles the way I want them but the meta descriptions are just coming up as the links. "Contact" "Sevices" etc

Is there any override I can put in place to make my descriptions work?

The theme is an ajax driven

    The theme is probably missing a wp_footer and or wp_header call in their respective files.

      this is exactly it - I'm missing wp_header in "header.php" but there is some code in functions.php is causing a conflict if I try an put the wp_header tag in "header.php"
