Paypal causes Chrome Crash - Really?

Can't believe this, as they're two such big players, but on my new site, when I click to confirm the Paypal transaction/go to the thankyou page after payment has been made, Chrome goes slow, then usually locks up all available tabs.

The referring site is a new Wordpress installation, Modernize theme, and the referring page has a Gravity Forms plugin in case that's relevant. Latest version of Chrome too.

Google brings up intermittent reports of vaguely problems, but nothing concrete and certainly no fixes, and Paypal support are being incredibly slow.

I need to launch this site on Tues next week - have any of you had anything like this?

That is odd. I know for a fact that Chrome and PayPal work hand in hand.

Clearly one of those hands is losing their grip.

I just had an email back from Paypal merchant support saying that Paypal and Chrome don't play well together.

Their only recommendation was that I should put a note on my payment page recommending people upgrade to the latest version of Chrome. I'm also going to add a note saying use a different browser.

You should be able to click the wrench icon and choose About Google Chrome to check for updates. Possibly instruct your users to try it if the wish to use Chrome. You'll probably loose business if Chrome can't be used and people don't want to use another browser.
