Best way to hook WSO to membership site?

I don't have a WSO related to a membership site, but I am part owner of MySurfBiz.com and we sell using JVZoo.

We use the EZ Membership script.

It's ok for sales as JVZoo keeps track of affiliates and passes back IPN information regarding each sale, but at the moment we are having trouble getting referrer information consistently from JVZoo. Not sure if we are doing something wrong, so have put in a ticket at JVZoo and am awaiting a reply.

Pretty much, yeah. See, you've done all the right homework already!

Most scripts let you set up a default password that all new users get, to be changed once they've logged in the first time. That's as much a pain in the ass in terms of support as auto-generating them IME, so I let the systems create the passwords automatically.

Then you need to simply and clearly document the exact steps, based on whatever scripts you're using, for changing their passwords/updating their profile. You can send that in their welcome email, you can post it inside the site on a page that's public... you can let them know how in many different ways. Don't let this stop you. It's not your biggest problem... APATHY is a far greater enemy than user passwords, believe it.

Here's what I can tell you having put virtually every membership solution created in the last several years to the test... ALL scripts have their own unique ways of pissing you and your customers off. Don't worry - there's something to hate about whichever one you choose.

I see now that JVZoo has explicit fields for using it with s2member when you add a product. Looks like that takes care of my decisions!
