Access Cpanel with a country specific domain

Hi, I will like to get some help from the warriorforum here. I run web design services that I help clients to design website. My recent client has a country registered domain name and my problem is I can't access the cpanel. He has already given me the userID and password, but I can't get to the login page.

Is there a different accessing a normal .com vs a .com.my (country code)?
I tried .com.my/cpanel, but it brought me a 404 page

I am not sure if it is because the domain is not registered by me. But I have done it on other client cpanel (not registered by me also) with no issue, so I was thinking if it is a problem with the country registration code or any other issue? Need some help here. I know this is the section talking about programming, so I assume this is where I should ask this question. If not, do help to let me know where i should post.

Appreciate any help here.

If his host isn't using cPanel or hasn't setup the redirect it won't work.
    Try http://site.com.my:2082 instead.
Otherwise, get the correct instructions from the host

Contacted the hosting. They don't use cpanel, so it is not using port 2082. Thanks.
