Wordpress Problem Entering New Page or Post

Hi
anyone good with wordpress ?
I seem to be totally unable to enter text into a post or a new page
real strange, I am adding a new post or page and clicking in the
text box and the cursor does not appear in the box so I can't enter
any text.

Also I can't change the Permalink text to something more manageable

very strange behaviour

anyone got any ideas why it would be like this ?

I am using Socrates theme 2.3 by the way
I am aware of updates but I am stuck on 2.3 for now

    Hmm you updated to the latest version of wordpress?

    Try with a different broswer , this maybe will fix the cursor problem!

    How old your wordpress? If your wordpress blog have been indexed by search engine, i think its not recommended to change your permalink, because you can loss your site pages that indexed by search engine. The better solution is checked your CSS pages in your dashboard, maybe any error there.
