Wordpress Media Upload Error!

Hey guys,

I'm trying to make this new post on my wordpress blog that requires images.

But, when I try to upload images from my computer it gives an error:

The upload could not be moved to (my wp-contents directory)

I googled for a solution and found that the error could be due to the safe_mode being turned on or due to wp-content/upload directory having wrong permissions.
But, I checked with phpinfo.php file and safe mode was turned off.

The solution above was for Wordpress 2.5 but I'm using Wordpress 2.7.1
I can't find any upload folder in wp-content directory.

Any idea on how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

Sumit

don't use the flash uploader...try using the browser uploader.
if you still have a problem then you may have to change permissions on your wp-content directory to 777

Is it possible the images you are trying to upload are too large? Make sure they are set to a resolution of 72 and keep the width and height reasonable. Let us know if you solved the problem. Good luck.

    Peace,

I was not very nice with changing the permissions of the wp-content directory... But, I use this GenNEXT plugin which solved the problem. Thanks guys for the reply.
