Created New Page...Image Problems

I hope I found the right forum to ask this question.

It's been a long, long time since I've created a new page on my old website. Last night I went ahead and created three new ones, (templates as well as the style.css template), to go along with an offer I purchased and all worked well except the images. Without the images, it's kind of pointless to have those three pages.

I was given folders to load via FTP to my server, which I did. In each folder were "images" and "pics". The main folders, let's call them X, Y and Z, I loaded under public_html. When I click on those folders on my server, X will open and I have an images folder and a pics folder as well as other stuff, and the same for Y and Z.

I changed chmod to various permissions even to 777 out of desperation but nothing is working.

In my main file, the public_html file, I do have an "images" folder but that shouldn't affect the path to the images folder in X, Y and Z, should it?

I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. It's probably something so simple, (which is usually the case with me), but for the life of me, I cannot figure it out.

Is this the proper place to ask this question and if so, is there anyone who knows anything about what I might be doing wrong and is willing to assist?

Thanks.

By the way: I use Expression Engine with pmachinehosting, if that helps.

Would you please post a link. There is no point in our guessing what might be wrong.

You need to share the thing in which you are in trouble. Otherwise it would not be possible for us to find out what went wrong there.

I really don't want to link my website here...is there a way I could talk to either one of you via email?

One way you can try and fix this yourself is to install the Firefox extension Firebug and then 'inspect' each image that is not appearing and see what is going on under the covers - should give you a useful error to work from.

I'll have to try that later. I keep getting an error:

"This add-on could not be downloaded due to a connection failure on addons.mozilla.org"

      Hm.

Thanks for the suggestion. Hope it will load later.

Are you using Wordpress or just HTML? It sounds like you are using HTML only. If so, can you paste for me the code you inserted to print the images?

    Example: <img src="... ...

Hi xbluelinks! That part I have down, it's the background images or the images that remain...almost like part of the page design. This code was given to me and I've scoured it looking for where I can correct the paths for these background images...

I will update and say: LOL, man. I went to upgrade my site yesterday since it is out of date and also hoping that might makes things easier...and I went ahead and lost my system/template.php, (the original...no, I don't know how that happened, I backed everything up), so now my site is blown apart.

I do have another website, a WP site that I've gone to and created the three new landing pages. Again, the images that I will change, the ones that can be found in the html code, "img src=...", I have those done. But again, even in WP, I cannot figure out how to get the background image(s) to appear.

Does it have to do with the bloglandingpage.php (not real name) templates I created or does it have to do with the three style.css (all named differently) templates? If it's .css...I am clueless when it comes to .css so need help.

Because this came from an offer on WF, I really do not want to link to it. It would be kind of like giving the offer away for free to anyone who sees this. I am willing to work with someone, one on one, to resolve this, however.

      I hope you understand.

      And thank you.

Wanted to update: Thank you all for your willingness to assist.

One person did contact me via PM and we got it all worked out.

And yes, as I suspected, it was a very simple fix that I could not see through all the code.

        Thanks again.
