wordpress memebers sign up form?

so I want to use wordpress as a memebers area only but I came to a few flaws with some plugins I found

what I need:

> ability for users to signup and get optin to aweber or any auto responder - verify via aweber which then activates the wordpress member signup
> have the ability to redirect to a specific page after memeber signup and login

that is all I really need and I think what is the basis of a product memebers area. anyone recommends one or know of one I can purchase that is wordpress compliant.

    Have you looked at BuddyPress? Might be useful for supporting multiple profiles, members etc.

    Otherwise there should be a Wordpress plugin to provide a protected area - in fact I think you can password protect pages through Wordpress anyway.

      To be completely compliant with Aweber (IMHO ridiculous) Terms of Service, the customer must signup and confirm their email with Aweber FIRST.

      Then you can send the subscriber to your membership site via the Aweber thank-you page URL.

      Your script with then need to parse the parameters and use them to insert into your script.

      If you go the other way, i.e. (Membership site -> Aweber), Aweber can (and does regular) stop you adding subscribers because everyone being put into your list has the exact same IP address, etc

      The problem with going Aweber - > m/ship site is that its difficult to get people to specify their own username and password at signup time.
      But if this is not important, then you do it this way..

      Otherwise, do as most IMers these days are doing and avoid Aweber and run your own AR software. If cheap, easy and very safe to do..
