How to combine IM with Programming Skills

Hey guys, I posted this thread a little while ago: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ng-skills.html I just thought that maybe it was better I asked this kind of question in this forum since there are more developers.

I've spent years developing, and enjoy developing web sites/apps. I think there must be some great ways to leverage those skills with IM. I'm wondering if anybody knows any guides, walk throughs, etc for a cookie cutter style formula (probably dreaming, but thought I'd ask anyway!)

      Hey LocoDice,

      Basically, in marketing you should never start with YOU... But with THEM!

      You have some great skills, and that's great. But you're unlikely to be successful with your current mindset. You need to change the questions you ask yourself.

      You should be asking yourself questions like:

      -Who can I help?
      -What is it that they want help with?
      -How can I make their lives easier? More productive?
      -Can I help them make more money or save money?
      -Save them time / effort?

      BUT TRULY...

      You should be asking those questions to your target market... Then shut-up and listen.

      For example...
      -How can I help you?
      -What will make your life easier? save you time or money?

      Then Listen...

      Create a tool or app based on your findings, that answers your target audience's prayers.

      Then use your IM skills to market your product.

      So that's:
      1. Be Willing to Help
      2. Ask how you can help
      3. Listen
      4. Create a solution that solves a problem (based on step 3)
      5. Market your product

    Spend you time looking at the wso section, observe what kind of apps/programs are created. If you have the skills, then make a better app and sell it there.

    develop software and plugins to make earning task easy or automated
    JV with someone who have a good idea
    as you got programming skills you can make something good and launch it as WSO if you find a good partner with a good idea

    I'd create a tool for small businesses and startups to reach more highly targeted customers at a lower cost.

    I've enhanced my Wordpress sites by making some custom PHP interactive pages (think mortgage calculators etc.). 99% of bloggers would never think of adding these, but they're great for going viral.

    My programming also came to the rescue when I had to take AdSense off my sites. Guess what? I glued a geo-location database to a simple script that reads the page's URL then serves up adverts exactly like AdSense does.

    Finally, I'm pretty sure that custom built sites can do better in the SERPs than Wordpress sites can.

    You can do lots of things . Basically, You must create a plugin/software and start marketing It . But you have lots of options for the software, It can be a PHP script ( This has many possiblities itself ) write a desktop tool, create a online service, create mobile apps, write plugins for open source projects and .... You just have to find a good idea for a software, create It and market It
