Newbie Simple IOS app question

Hey warriors,
I have someone developing a Itunes and Google app for me but I have one, simple yet important question.

Do I need a IOS developer app even if I'm doing NONE of the app configuration and programming? I believe it costs $90 per year right?

All I want to do is sign the contract so that I get paid when the app sells?

    Yes. get the developer account with apple.
    Otherwise you will be at the mercy of the developer when you want to make changes, and you never know if you will want to use a different developer in the future for updates.
    Even though it is a pain to pay the fee, it i will be worth it in the long run.
    If you dont want to deal with learning about the submission process you can jsut give the login to your developer, and then change the password afterward..
