Automating tasks for review site

I want to make an automated program that will help me with me review pages on wordpress.

I really just want to automate the tasks that take the longest.

For example, downloading images from Amazon takes just a few seconds, so I would do this manually.

Next I would write a unique review manually, and then make a video.

The program I have in mind would post the article and video in seperate posts and interlink them....Maybe have 2-3 other related posts that all interlink...

I find interlinking and posting takes a while and I would like to automate it rather than outsource it.

I think having a bot type program that clicked the wordpress web page manually would be my preference over accessing the database directly.

Any advice on where to get started? I have experience in Visual Basic but am a little rusty.

    Have a look at autoit - some pretty good web automation there - 'Basic' style syntax - quick to knock up scripts.
