I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice, sites or software to create widgets for a website. I would like to create 7 main widgets for the site widgets that would be asigned to user ID and category they are in and carry perhaps php code of the top5 in their category along with a "come vote for me at" type catch phrase. I want so the user can take their category widget to other sites like myspace, facebook etc... Any assistance would be great.
I have tried sites like netvibes, widgetbox etc but no luck yet in the actual creation or what they show is over my head or too limited in functionality.

    Check out yahoo widgets, it consists of widget creator,
    widget converter, tutorial, etc. I think you will get what you want here..

    Otherwise you can also search for "widget creating" websites on
    go2web20, you may find something there.
