I need Geo location script to get exact city name. what script you suggest?

I need Geo location script to get exact city name. I have seen so many scripts but problem is they provide me wrong city for dynamic ip. i need exact city name.

please share me if you know about any script.

    You'll never get the correct city name. You can only get the city name for where the IP address is registered, which is usually to the address of the company that owns the IP address, not the end user.

    I would recommend that you must use Maxmind GeoIP Service. If I am not wrong, the premium version of this service is really accurate and can provide you most accurate city wise data. You have not mentioned the prog lang for which you need the script so I am linking here the main link of all scripts provided by Maxmind - https://github.com/maxmind/

    You can use HTML5 geolocation for accurate location extraction, however, it requires client to explicitly grant you the permission for this. More info at, Geolocation Technology and APIs in HTML 5 | IPGeo5.com

    For non-intrusive method, IP based, I may recommend the Geolocation Technology and APIs in HTML 5 | IPGeo5.com (free version) or IP Address Geolocation to Identify Website Visitor's Geographical Location (paid version)

      I like Maxmind, had good experience with it.

      BUT!!!!

      The HTML5 Method, IP method, Maxmind database....

      ALL RELIES ON IP AND WILL NEVER BE 100% CORRECT!

      You asked how porn sites do it.... They do it by IP, and they are not always right.

      There isn't really anything left to this conversation, that is the answer.

    Yeah, as others said, there's no way to do this accurately because it's based on your IP address which is registered to your internet service provider.

    The closest any geolocation code has ever got to my true location is a city 20 miles away, but it's normally one that's 400 miles away which means the relevancy of the information presented because of the calculated location is 100% useless and would actually be more relevant if they didn't try to use this wholly inaccurate technology.

      Personally, I don't use it for city. I use it for state and country only. City is almost useless.
