    I think you should check corona sdk out. It looks great. It's cross platform and quite simple to code. However, you will need to learn Lua programming

    I had read an article a couple of weeks back about the competition of the main players in the smartphone industry.

    It said that iOS and Android are the leading in the battle as of now and Blackberry has got a little behind them. As per the statistics of the report in the article, iOS and Android have their own strengths in different markets, and are playing the leaders there. Blackberry is mostly in the third place.
