Hey Everybody
Today i opened webmaster tools and got this messgae that some important pages are blocked. Heres my Robots.txt file

#Begin Attracta SEO Tools Sitemap. Do not remove
User-agent: *
Disallow: /
sitemap: http://cdn.attracta.com/sitemap/2664180.xml.gz
#End Attracta SEO Tools Sitemap. Do not remove

The second and third line were not present few days ago. How were they automatically added?

It seems this plugin tries to force search bots to use the sitemap as where the url points to and not have any bots try and spider the site..

I doubt that is a very good idea.. not sure though.. it is an interesting idea if this works..

Not a bad idea if the robots.txt file is directing the crawlers to the site itself and not the one outlined. I don't think the site attracta.com is the same site. It is the site that provided the plugin it seems.

Check the permissions on the robots.txt file and make sure it isn't 777. Put the file back as it was and then alter the permissions to 644. If you intend to use a seo plugin again then the file permissions might need to be altered to 666.

As for the file only being altered recently then either someone hacked the file because of the permissions being 777 or the plugin was altered - updated? Are you using wordpress?

Yoasts SEO Plugin lets you modify your robots.txt file without having to FTP to your server. You will want to change the permissions on the file asap though like MKJ said.

Thank you all for your replies. It was my first website so i got scared. The permissions are still 644 so i think it was not hacked or can it still be???maybe the seo plugin did it. I have contacted support, lets see what they say.
EDIT: and i am not using wordpress
