Viral Inviter ... track thru the SALE not just a page visit

Hello there.

Im behind the eightball and need to find a reliable work around that gives me the ability to use Norman Freemans Viral Inviter - to have customers refer friends to the landing/sales page ... and reward those clients who refer with a GIFT.

Viral Inviter only seems to track invited friends until they hit the landing page - using simple URL variables. How to take those variables and put them into a 30 day cookie that could then feed those same variables back to the javascript VI uses to track when a user hits a landing page.

One would kinda think this would be an option / feature?

Not looking for affilaite scripts - most wont take the time to sign up for that ... I just want the folks to earn a nice bonus for referring BUYERS - not just eyeballs on a sales page.

All the VI php appears to be encrypted - so I can not edit their code - nor would I even attempt. I know only enough to screw stuff up! So I'd need ot work within their framework for now and
work on something else later if need be.

Thoughts Ideas Suggestions?
