Have My Own Software Program, Warning Sign Appears When People Download it, Will a SSL Certificate ? Hi, I am not a real tech person, I have developed a software program, its an EX file format. My problem is this, when people go to our download page to download the software, a warning message comes on and says, downloading this software may be dangerous to your computer. This comes up in Chrome, not sure about the others. This is a message that a new customer does not want to see. Will getting a SSL certificate solve this problem? Is there a better way to get my software to my customers, than using a download page. Its too big to send it to them in an email. My customers are going to be free customers, sent to my page by my clients who have paid for bulk quantities of the software. Lastly, if you are interested in getting a free copy of the software for yourself, visit us and request one, this way you will be able to see what the message is for yourself, Customer Drift | We Stop Your Customer Base From Drifting Away Thanks for your time Regards Bryan |
Re: Have My Own Software Program, Warning Sign Appears When People Download it, Will a SSL Certifica This is actually normal - browsers always warn on downloading "exe" files - or any other windows executable. You simply need to put your file in a zip file. If you want to get a bit fancier, you can create a standard distribution page. Start: AppVisor ยป PAD FAQ |
