Integrating ColdFusion and WordPress

I have extensive experience with ColdFusion on Windows and also WordPress on Linux.

WordPress relies on Plugins for extended functionality. Can the same type of functionality be provided by integrating a ColdFusion routine into WordPress?

I'm going to be building a Linux application that would benefit from the flexibility of a programming platform, like ColdFusion, but would also benefit from the CRM capabilities of WordPress.

The question is, is it possible to either integrate WordPress into ColdFusion, or to integrate ColdFusion into WordPress?

So you're saying you have extensive experience with Wordpress, but you're not comfortable with PHP? How extensive is your experience then, really?

You can integrate Word Press into ColdFusion With using below two functionalities. You can possible this task. First, I need to use ColdFusion to connect to the Word press database and second. I need to be able to embed CFML templates directly into the Word press blog.
