How to track which page people are landing on?

Hi,

I'm using Contact form 7 on my wordpress site. When people use the form I would really like to track which exact URL they landed on when going to my site, to track which pages result in what.
I've tried a tip on the contact form 7 official website, but that didn't work.

Any tips (perhaps a plugin)?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Thomas

Try adding header & footer, then put Sitemeter in footer.

    https://www.sitemeter.com/ is free tracker

Thanks, but how do I include the landing page info in my contact form?
In the email I receive (based on the form) I want it to include which page my visitor landed on (exact URL).
I'm using Analytics for Contact Form 7 by Found, but it doesn't seem to do that.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

Sitemeter will let you know, but you will have to login to check the stats. You want this info included in the contact email you receive? Most contact scripts have options for hidden form fields to relay this info, but I'm not sure about Contact Form 7. Thought you wanted a cumulative stats tracker...good luck.

Convertable captures the landing page, pages viewed, time spent on site, referral source, etc and submits it with the lead emails. A WordPress plugin and API is being developed and should be available within the next few weeks, but in the meantime, you can just plug in the contact form HTML and tracking code generated by the Convertable form builder. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions or feedback in general.

Looks good, thanks. But right now I'm sticking with Contact form 7, and am really looking for a solution that will work with that.

    Hi,

It seems Contact Form 7 has some special tags.
In your case you'll have to use [_url] to get the originating url.

For more info check this: Special Mail Tags | Contact Form 7

Thanks, lordspace. However, it looks like [_url] is for including which page the form is on. I need to know which page they landed on initially.
It must be doable in some way...

    Thomas

Yes, but I need this information in my contact form so that it is in the email I receive, regarding the particular user sending the form.
