Help! Some Pages NOT Looking Right (Pic)

If you're reading these bold words here, then the issue is still unresolved. Thank you.

=========================

Hello My Warrior Friends!

I'm hoping your combined knowledge and willing to help others pulls through on this one...

I'm doing this for my neighbor down the road as he called on me to help him and can't figure it out. He says for no apparent reason he can not see Facebook or his profile/timeline page correctly any longer. At first he/we thought it was only on FB, but also noticed it was the same for Yahoo Mail Login.

Browser is Firefox and system is XP. He has latest Firefox 20. He claims he did nothing different and this happened all of a sudden. I shut his browser down and re-opened it. I shut computer off and restarted it. I also removed Firefox completed off his hard drive and downloaded a whole new version.(latest and most up to date)

To help matters I have included a picture that will help explain things better than I can with words. Page doesn't look right at all.

I hope you can find a solution.

Thank you very much for your help.

From the attached picture, it looks like the CSS formatting is missing. It usually happens when, inside FireFox, you choose "View" menu, then "Page Style", then "No Style". Try set it to "Basic Page Style".

Also, try to access FaceBook in other browser (like Chrome or Internet Explorer). If it works correctly in other browsers, then the problem is something related only to FireFox, which may narrow the possible cause.

The setting was already set to >Basic Page Style and the same problem exists using Internet Explorer as well. I tried shutting down the browser and re-starting. Also shut off the computer and re-started. Even removed Firefox completely off the computer and installed a whole new and most updated version.

Thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it.

People... it is still a problem so if any of you have any other suggestions, I and my friend would surely like to hear it.

Could you, please, post some snapshots of FaceBook from Chrome and Internet Explorer (not just from one of them)? Also, it would be useful if you could post a snapshot from another URL, taken in all 3 browsers. With 2 + 3 more snapshots, chances to find the problem are higher.

This link suggests that you might still have the same FireFox settings, so the problem was still there while you reinstalled FireFox.

Did you know that all the settings you make in Firefox, like your home page, what toolbars you use, saved passwords and bookmarks are all stored in a special profile folder? It's true. Your profile folder is kept in a separate place from the Firefox program so that if something ever goes wrong with Firefox your information will still be there. It also means you can uninstall Firefox without losing your settings and you don't have to reinstall Firefox to clear your information or troubleshoot a problem.

    Sergiu FUNIERU,

I'll see about getting more snapshots, but from what I recall, seeing Facebook with the other browser looked the same to me. Also, when it came time to re-install a whole new version of Mozilla Firefox, I don't know if it were in the delete process or re-install, but I do recall that I was asked if I wanted a whole new Firefox without the previous settings saved... so I saved not keeping any of the old data. I know what you mean there.

Thanks for your help. Eventually this puzzle will get solved!

Hello Jake! Thank you for that option. I do have the same question at another forum, but with no success yet. I will try that idea of yours. Take care.

      annaharris,

I think I tried that before downloading a whole new version of Firefox. I will look into that again... if he stills has the problem. I haven't called him in a long while.

First to all view the facebook source code and open the stylesheet (css) link in browser, if its load that's mean you have problem with your browser try different browser,

In most case user disabled the stylesheet accidentally in firefox VIEW->NO Style

change it to Basic Page Style

If you recently change any thing using about:config setting from friefox this could also give you problem.

    Thanks,
