Wordpress - UNABLE to change link in sidebar

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to Wordpress but I'm trying and learning as I go.
In my page there is a sidebar with a statement that
says "Click Here To Download Now" and that links to
another page. Now--I want to change that link--to link to a downloadable PDF that I want to give away. The part that I don't know is how to change that link. I can see everything in the File/Page Source but I can't seem to find where the original file is or PHP file. Can you edit File/Page Source? Do you do edit this in FTP or inside Wordpress?

I appreciate any help.

    Hi KenJoe

The WordPress Administrator Utility (which is at http://yourwpsite.com/wp-admin) is where you control everything about your WordPress site. You will need to login with your administrator user name (usually "admin) and the password you established when you setup your site.

If you want to edit a permanent link you need to do this within the Administrator Utility, specifically using the "Editor" under "Appearance" (I'm assuming you are using the latest version of WordPress). This will display the Theme Editor, which allows you to edit your themes PHP code. The link you want will likely be in the "sidebar.php" file.

Another (and easier) way to add your link would just be to use the "Add New" function under "Links". This allows you to add an infinite amount of links without needing to know PHP or HTML.
